Marc Minish

Minish Risk Advisors works with community banks and credit unions on credit risk, independent reviews, exam support, and the practical work that follows a finding or a leadership gap.

The practice is built for institutions that do not keep a large in-house risk staff. Engagements are scoped to what the board and management need: loan review, BSA/OFAC review, policy work, core conversions, or interim coverage of a senior role.

Based in Huntsville, Alabama with an additional office in Brentwood, Tennessee.

Marc Minish served as an FDIC risk-management examiner from 2009 to 2020. He has since done independent advisory work and bank-side credit and executive roles for community institutions.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Auburn University and a master’s degree in Management (MSM) from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a subject matter expert in appraisals and collateral evaluations.

Work has included a community-bank loan pricing model, a regulatory-vetted community-bank charter application process, and assistance developing an automated valuation model (AVM) for residential loans.

A new de novo community bank for Williamson County

Have you ever wanted to start a new bank? Virtus Bank is being organized as a de novo community bank to serve Williamson County, Tennessee.

The bank is in formation. We are building the organizing group and the senior management team that will take the institution through chartering, capital raising, and opening. To be an organizer, you need to be a visionary, have patience, and a lot of backbone. Some of the organizers will later serve on the bank's Board of Directors.

Organizers will help shape the bank’s direction, governance, and local market focus. Senior management candidates are those prepared to lead a new community bank. We are looking for bankers that are also entrepreneurs. If you worry about how much PTO you have, then it will not be a good fit.

Williamson County is the primary market. The intent is a locally governed bank, with credit decisions and client relationships centered here rather than in a distant holding company. We are building something of our own and a bank to call home.

This is a formation notice, not an offer of securities.

If you have an interest in serving as an organizer or in a senior management role, message me through LinkedIn or through the website: www.minishriskadvisors.com.
